I have my scan in 3 days. I am supposed to be 6w6d based off LMP, but as I was tracking ovulation I suspect I’ll measure 6w3d instead.Should I expect to see a measurable heart rate? What should the heart rate be? After two losses I’m so nervous, this is the farthest I’ve made it and I really want everything to be okay!

I am 6w+3d today. I also had my first appointment this morning. They ordered an ultrasound. I haven't had one yet waiting for the call to schedule it. I was under the impression they were going to do an ultrasound at my appointment but obviously that was not the case. To prepare I watched a few YouTube videos on ultrasounds at 6 weeks. They all had the sack and yoke. You could see the fetal pole and some had small flickering which was noted was the start of the beating heart. It's my understanding that depending on how far along you are you might not see the heart flickering yet but that is not necessarily a cause for concern because babies grow at different rates, and various things in your cycle or implantation can move your expected date. Plus, their tiny hearts aren't even fully formed yet to consider the flickering a proper "heartbeat" at 6 weeks.

I just had first ultrasound yesterday at 6w5d. Could see the sac and the baby just looked like a cute little blob. They did an abdominal ultrasound and we were able to get a couple quick shots of the heart flickering. We couldn't hear it, and she assured me that it's just still too early to hear much, but there was definitely a heartbeat. If you're getting a transvagin*l ultrasound, it may be possible to get some audio as those are better for the earliest ultrasounds. The place I went to just didn't do transvagin*l ones.

At 6w2d I saw a heart, it was about 104bpm. Now at 7w1d it's at 151bpm but still haven't got the opportunity to hear it unfortunately!
